In view the restrictions imposed to prevent the spread of Novel Corona Virus 2019 (COVID-19), the Delhi Government is implementing food relief efforts in Delhi so that no one is left hungry. - I have a ration card – where can I get ration?
If you are a ration card holder, you can get ration free of cost from Fair Price Shops. These shops will be open all seven days of the week in public interest, The ration will include wheat and rice 1.
- Do I have to pay for the ration?
No, you do not have to pay for the ration. It will be given free of cost.
- How much quantity will I get?
The entitled quantity of ration (wheat and rice) for the month of April 2020 is increased by 50%. The beneficiary members will now get 7.5 Kg of food grains including 6 Kg of wheat and 1.5 Kg of rice for each beneficiary 2.
- Till when will I get ration for free?
Ration will be free of cost for the months of April and May. For Those Without Ration Card
- I do not have a ration card – what can I do?
If you do not have a ration card, you can apply for the Delhi Government’s Ration eCoupon. Upon completing the application, you will get the coupon on your phone. You will also receive the name of an area government school on your phone. Take the coupon to that government school. You will get one month’s ration from that school.
- Where can I apply for the Delhi Government Ration e-Coupon?
You can apply on on the e-Coupon portal, https://ration.jantasamvad.org/ration/ – do ensure that you put in your correct mobile number in the application. You will receive the e-coupon as a text on your phone.
- What information will I need to submit the form for e-Coupon?
You will need to fill in yours and your family members’ names, age, gender and Aadhar number, and the Delhi address you’re currently staying in. Even if your Aadhar has a non-Delhi address, you can apply. Put address of where you are currently in Delhi. Uploading a photo on the portal is not mandatory.
- What documents do I need to apply for e-coupon?
You will only need Aadhar card issued in the name of you and your family members.
- How much ration quantity will I get?
You can get 4 Kgs wheat plus 1 Kg rice per member. Kits with essential items is also provided in May.
1 Antyodaya Anna Yojana households can additionally get 1 Kg of sugar per household.
2 Antyodaya Anna Yojana households with upto 4 members in the card are entitled to 25 Kg wheat and 10 Kg rice per household. Antyodaya Anna Yojana households with more than 4 members in the card are entitled to 6 Kg wheat per family member. They will also get 1.5 Kg rice per family member or 10 Kg rice per household, whichever is higher.
- Who can I contact if I have queries about the form/ need assistance filling the form?
Your MLAs will ensure that you get the required assistance to fill the form. In case of any query, you can contact our helpline 1031.
- How many times can I use the e-Coupon to get ration?
You can only use the e-Coupon once. You will get a month’s worth of ration in that single use.
- I had applied for a Ration Card but my application is still pending. Am I still eligible for the e-Coupon? Where can I get ration from?
Yes, you are eligible for the e-Coupon. You do not have to fill the form. We will send you an e-Coupon on the phone number that you used for your ration card application. If your number has changed since then, please call 1031 and provide your new number along with the ration card application number.
- I have submitted the e-Coupon form. How do I check the the status of my application?
Go on the e-Coupon website (https://ration.jantasamvad.org/ration/) and use the ‘Click Here’ option. You will be asked to enter your mobile number. Use the same number that you used for filling the form. You will receive an OTP. On entering the OTP, you will be redirected to your application status.

In view of the lockdown, we want to adhere to the norms of social distancing. Ration distribution in the schools will happen in a phased manner. You will receive a message on your phone with the e-Coupon and your allocated school. You can collect the ration on that day. Do fill the form in the meantime.
